Here at White Post we’re more than just your average farm! We’re enthusiastic about education so have a range of ways you can stay and learn with us or have fun learning at home; from free printable fun resources to education boxes for the classroom.
On top of our structured learning packages we’re flexible and imaginative! So if you’re learning about a specific topic we’re happy to work with you to develop activities for your group.

Home Educator Day

Monday 22nd April

Join us for a day of free-range fun, where you will be able to join in with all our usual farm activities as well. as some added extras.

The themed of the day is ‘Sheep Shearing’ so expect to learn about why shearing sheep is important. Have a look at the different types of wool some of our animals produce and the benefits of wool, and of course, some time to meet our newest, springtime arrivals.

You can arrive at anytime during the day for free-flow exploring, and then meet up at specific times for scheduled talks and activities throughout the day with our Farmers.

*Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Aimed at KS1-KS2 ages, but all are welcome. All adults, including carers, must have a ‘home educator’ adult paying ticket.

RANGER ACADEMY

Our fantastic Ranger Academy is back…

Aimed at 14 – 18 year olds it’s the perfect introduction for those working towards a career with animals or for those with a passion for animals.

What is Ranger Academy?

This three day Springtime Special offering has plenty of hands-on experience in a small group to ensure focused learning. Two of our expert keepers will teach you a range of skills from handling techniques to making the animals some fun enrichment.

Graduate from Ranger Academy with a bespoke certificate of achievement and feedback from the Ranger Team – perfect for adding to your CV!

The Ranger Academy is a 3 day course running from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Wednesday. It includes a daily snack but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

Our next Ranger Academy dates will be running from:
Monday 8th April – Wednesday 10th April (inclusive)
9am Course start time (0845 arrival to main entrance)
3pm Course finish time

 

We will provide all course materials and a daily snack at break time. Please bring your own packed lunches.

RANGER ACADEMY EXPLORATION (ADULTS ONLY)

LITTLE FARMERS CLUB

Little Farmers is a weekly group for children aged 2-4 years which aims to develop their early learning skills in a hands-on environment. The sessions are held at the farm every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am until 12 noon. Each week is based on a story!

The sessions are run by two experienced members of our education team, with all the bespoke activities/crafts made to encourage learning and personal development. Little Farmers is also a great chance for your little ones to socialise.

Little Farmers Topics February – March

Week 1: (19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd February) – Random Acts of Kindness
Week 2: (26th, 28th, 29th Feb & 1st March) – Clip-Clop!
Week 3: (4th, 6th, 7th, 8th March) – Monkey Puzzle
Week 4: (11th, 13th, 14th, 15th March) – Tractor, Tractor*
Week 5: (18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd) – Easter
* Tractor, Tractor week is weather dependant.

You do not have to attend every session, so if you want to pop along for a few sessions a term, please do! Prices include hot drinks for the adults, and all the resources (plus snacks) for the little ones:

Guided Farm Tour

Ideal for schools and organised groups. An exciting and interactive tour tailored specifically to your requirements. Either linked to your current topic or just a full day of free range fun. Your guide will meet you as your coach arrives and stay with you until they are waving goodbye.
Meet and feed friendly animals and learn about what makes them special. Play and explore no matter what time of year.
Minimum of 20 paying people (Term time – Monday to Friday).
Child: £8.95 each
1:5 adults FOC
Extra Adults: £8.95
