A Super Summer day at the Farm!

We are having the best time so far this ‘One Big Wild Summer. We have filled our timetable full of exciting animal activities as well as games and a host of extra exciting events. So here’s what you can expect on your visit. Some highlights so far!

Let’s start in the Top Yard! You can begin your day at Meerkat Breakfast. A fascinating Keeper talk and chance to watch our two mobs of meerkats hunt down their breakfast!

Then make take-home conservation crafts lead by a friendly farmer. Stick art, cloud viewers, binoculars and lots more!

Then it’s time to get snappy and visit Reptiles of the World, our state of the art exotics exhibition. Here you might even get millimetres from one of our crocs (Desmond and Nellie) at the massive under water viewing window! Oh and look out behind you, farm favourite Willow the 14ft Burmese python might be lurking too!

Grab a spot of breakfast in the Tea Rooms then head to the Go-Active Falconry Centre. Here you’ll see some extraordinary birds including apex predator, Eddie the Golden eagle. Did you know he has a 7ft wing-span. Wow!

Friday to Sunday also means the ‘Learn to Love Nature Quiz’. You need to warm up because this is an active one! You’ll learn some amazing wild facts and maybe have some silly fun too! 😉 After the quiz you can rest up and enjoy your picnic at a very chilled Story time.

Next head into the Silver Barn to meet some of our babies! Ralph the baby ram, Ice cream the little Billy goat and lots of lovely piglets! Make sure you go and see our baby armadillo Delilah. She might be snuggled up with mummy inside, or chomping down on lunch at 12.30pm. Oh, we have great news too; our first baby goats have been born with more to come!

Now it’s time for some play. Bounce your way over to the new Sky Jumpers! We have one for little ones and a big one for bigger kids and over course, grown ups too!

Make sure you leave time to explore 20 acres of our animal paddocks! Take some animal food and feed the friendly bunch including some beautiful rare breeds. The gorgeous Golden Guernsey goats are one of our faves!

By now you’ll be getting tired but there’s some spectacular shows to enjoy and rest at the same time. The Falconry Display and Sheep Races are two of the most popular events here at the farm so don’t miss them!

It’s such a full summer we want to see your pictures too! You can find us on Facebook at @WhitePostFarmNotts and Instagram at @whitepostfarmofficial. Show us what you get up to and we’ll share your posts. Have a great summer everyone, we chant wait to meet you.
