Christmas at the Farm is Underway!

This weekend was the opening of Christmas here at the farm, and it was a huge success! With lots of laughter and jolly smiles, here’s what went down.

Christmas at the Farm is as magical as ever this year, and our opening weekend has definitely shown us that. From Pixie’s Emporium to Whistle’s Toy Workshop, the farm was buzzing with festive cheer, with every family leaving full of Christmas Spirit. Despite the weather conditions that we all faced, the turn-out was still amazing, with the winter snow making it feel even more like Christmas!

Our elves had a wonderful time meeting everyone! They are super excited for the rest of the festive season to take place. Here’s what Elf Ginger had to say about it…

It was fabulous seeing all the families wrapped up warm and cosy, listening to Santas fairytale! I am so excited to do it all again next weekend.      ‘

Lots of Snowflake coins were spent on festive drinks at Peppermint’s Hot Chocolate Stall and our Elf Village postbox is overflowing with your wonderful letters to Santa. The Santa-Sleigh experience was full of happy faces, with each family snuggled up on their sleigh with a blanket, listening to the Farm Christmas Story. The festive chill in the air made it even more magical, with families spilling out of each stall spending their Christmas currency! The children were ecstatic with their toys from the Elves workshop, whilst the adults gathered around the fire pit roasting their marshmallows. With tons of festive activities for everyone involved, there is lots to do on top of your general admission so if you haven’t yet visited us, be sure to spend your snowflake coins wisely!

As well as the Sleigh-experience and Christmas Market being a success, our two beautiful reindeer, Moss and Bella, loved seeing all of your cheery faces when you paid them a visit, and they are feeling just as festive as everyone else! They have settled in brilliantly to life here at the farm, and our keepers are taking great care of them, especially Farmer Sarah!

We had a special arrival on the farm this weekend, just in time for the festivities. Our two beautiful Miniature Donkeys arrived on site in the stunning winter snow… it was magical! They were greeted by a group of excited staff down at the entrance gate who could not wait to meet them… even the elves too!  They will be living in the Silver Barn throughout the Christmas period, so be sure to pay them a visit. We have our ‘Meet the Christmas Animals’ talk over the weekends, where one of our keepers will introduce you to both the Reindeer and the Miniature Donkeys, providing some cool facts and interesting information. This was a fan-favourite over the weekend, flooding the Silver Barn with visitors here to meet the Christmas Animals.

We all had the most amazing time this weekend, from the customers to the staff, it was smiles all round! There is a busy month ahead for Christmas at the Farm, so why not book one of our final Santa’s Sleigh Experience slots now before they are completely sold out. You do not want to miss out on the festive fun. Christmas at the Farm will take place every Saturday & Sunday throughout December.

We also have our Christmas Evening’s fast approaching, with our Adult’s only evening on Sunday 10th December & Canines and Candycanes on Sunday 17th December. These are available to book online here… come and see the Christmas lights twinkle after-dark!
