Next Term at Little Farmers Club!

There are lots of exciting activities happening at Little Farmers Club next term, so here’s a sneak peak at what to expect for your little ones!

We cannot wait to welcome you back for a new term of Little Farmers Club! This coming term is full of lots of interactive and fun ways that your children can engage here at the farm, from Pantomimes to Christmas activities!

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect each week throughout November & December:

WEEK 1: (FROM MONDAY 6TH NOVEMBER): ‘DIWALI’

This session will be a great chance for you to learn about our some of the exotic animals that we have here at the farm.

Our little farmers will get the chance to handle some of our Leaf Insects from South East Asia! There will also be a chance to learn about our Burmese Python ‘Willow’, from one of our exotic keepers.

We will be reading Sonali Shah’s ‘The Best Diwali Ever’ this session, before making some fabulous firework display paintings to celebrate Diwali!

WEEK 2: (TUESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER): ‘GOLDILOCKS PANTO’

Its Panto week! This session will begin with 45 minutes of free time, where you will be given a bag of animal food, and a chance to explore the farm on your own, fussing and feeding all of our animals!

We have the ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ Pantomime coming to White Post Farm, and our Little Farmers Club get their own private showing… How exciting!!

The Pantomime will begin at 11am, and the children will still be given their drink and snack as usual, just before the Panto begins.

Our Little Farmers staff will be there to help you for the duration of the session. They will be there to answer your questions whilst you explore the fields, and they will also be there to enjoy the Pantomime with you!

WEEK 3: (FROM MONDAY 20TH NOVEMBER): ‘A SQUASH AND A SQUEEZE’

As I’m sure you all know, we have some very cheeky goats here at the farm, you may know them as Giggles and Gargantua.

In this session, we will be reading ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ by Julia Donaldson, before taking our very own cheeky goats, Giggles and Gargantua, for a walk around the farm.

Our craft activity will be extremely interactive and creative, as we will be making some of our own cheeky goats. You can use our crafts to make your own goat, as crazy and as fluffy as you want!

WEEK 4: (FROM MONDAY 27TH NOVEMBER): ‘THE LITTLEST OWL’

This session will be dedicated to learning about our lovely Owl’s at Go-Active Falconry.

We will be meeting with one of our experienced falconers here at the farm, who will introduce us to some of our very own ‘little owls’. There is a chance that we may be able to see one of our owl’s fly in this session, depending on the weather for that day.

We will be reading ‘The Littlest Owl’ by the amazing Caroline Pitcher. Throughout this session, as we have entered the beautiful season of Autumn, we will be collecting all of the brown leaves whilst walking around the farm.

We will then be making our own ‘Little Owl’, using these autumn leaves to mimic their fantastic feathers!

WEEK 5: (FROM MONDAY 4TH DECEMBER): ‘THE GECKO AND THE ECHO’

This session is all about our amazing Gecko’s at the farm!

‘The Gecko and the Echo’ by Rachel Bright is our highly entertaining storybook for this week.

In this session, we will be going to meet some of our very own geckos here at the farm, where you can find out lots of cool facts about them. You will get the chance to stroke one of our Gecko’s, where you can describe with your little farmer friends what they feel like!

The craft activity will be making our very own pop-up lizards!

WEEK 6: (FROM MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER): ‘CHRISTMAS’

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Christmas time!

This session will be all things Christmas, where you will get the chance to meet our Reindeer before they have to go off for their Christmas duties! As well as this, we even have some miniature Donkeys that you will also get to meet here at the farm!

We will be reading the exciting, ‘The Night the Reindeer Saved Christmas’ by Raj Kaur Khaira this session. After break time, you will get the chance to make your very own Reindeer food, for you to put out on Christmas Eve!

To celebrate Christmas properly, we will be having a disco dance-party, where we encourage all the children to wear their very best Christmas jumpers!

This session will be the perfect end to a fun term of Little Farmers Club, before seeing you again in the New Year!
